Abbey Music Arbroath

Hi!!

My name is Dani Heggie.

I have been playing Guitar since 2006 and ukulele since 2009.

 I took up Music Teaching in Abbey Music since 2020.

 

For 7 Years I studied Music Academically, this included my Bachelors Degree finishing with Honours.  

since 2011 I have performed in many bands, touring around Scotland and England.

I have been teaching since 2015 this included a 6 Months teaching placement at Auchmuty High.

I also taught at Red Rock from 2018 to 2020 as a instrumental tutor.

I went into private tuition because I wanted to have freedom to tailor lessons to students individual learning paces and Musical Interests.

​

My hometown is Glenrothes this is also where I began working with Y-Music Project at the local YMCA, this provides free tuition to young musicians.

this is thanks to the sourced funding.  in 2023 I became the full Music Project Coordinator at the YMCA to continue this great source for young Musicians.

I am deeply passionate about Music Education, I feel learning an instrument is just so much more than a great hobby. Music allows individuals to express themselves.

I am currently the Guitarist and song writer for Metalcore band Oceans On Fire & as well as the bass player for the function band Funk & Disorderly!.
